Data Deletion Instructions
Lecida allows you to delete your account and associated data at any time. You can do this directly within the app, or by contacting us via email.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the Lecida mobile app:
- Open the Lecida app
- Go to the Profile tab
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm deletion when prompted
Your account deletion request will be processed immediately in the app. Most account and profile data will be deleted or deactivated, but some records may be retained where required by law, for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, payment, or financial compliance purposes. This action is irreversible.
Option 2: Request deletion via email
If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion by email.

In your email, please include:
- The email address associated with your Lecida account
- Which sign-in method you used (e.g., email, Facebook, Apple, or Google)
We will process your request within 30 days.
What data we store
Depending on how you use Lecida and whether you are a guest, host, or both, we may store the following information:
All users:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your date of birth
- Your profile picture (if provided)
- Your city and general location
- Your biography or personal description
- Booking and event participation history
- Messages sent through the platform
If you signed in using Facebook Login, we may also store your Facebook user ID. If you signed in using Sign in with Apple, we may store your Apple relay email and unique identifier. If you signed in using Google, we may store your Google profile information.
Hosts may also have:
- Host profile and hosting preferences
- Events created through the platform
- Social Security Number (SSN), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), or similar tax identification information, collected for tax reporting, payout eligibility, identity verification, fraud prevention, or compliance
- Government-issued identification documents (such as a driver's license or passport), collected for identity verification
- Photos or images uploaded or captured through the app, including event photos, profile photos, and identity verification documents
- Payout and payment records processed through Stripe
What will be deleted
When your account is deleted:
- Your Lecida account access and active authentication sessions are removed or disabled
- Your profile data and associated app data are deleted or de-identified, except where retention is required or permitted as described below
- Third-party sign-in identifiers stored by Lecida, such as Facebook, Apple, or Google account identifiers, are removed from your Lecida account records where no longer required
- Host profile, hosting preferences, and event listings are deleted, deactivated, or anonymized, except where retention is required for bookings, payments, tax, safety, dispute resolution, or legal compliance
What may be retained
Some limited information may be retained after account deletion where required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes:
- Tax and payout records: SSN/TIN information, payout records, and tax reporting records may be retained for the period required by applicable law, which may be up to seven years or longer where legally required.
- Identity verification records: Government ID images and other identity verification documents are retained only as long as necessary for verification, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and platform safety, and are deleted or de-identified when no longer required for those purposes.
- Financial records: Transaction and payment records may be retained as required for financial record-keeping obligations.
